Zeffirelli's Leesburg Absolutely outstanding restaurant, both in food and service. This is Northern Italian cooking -- unusual menu, plus the usual spaghetti with meatballs, etc. Elegant dining room, excellent drinks. Rate this overall as: A++++++++++ [17 Feb 2007 18:53:10]

Zeffirelli's Leesburg - 100 STARS I accidentally stumbled across this hidden gem while on my way to the courthouse. This is a very classy restaurant with great service in a peaceful atmosphere with excellent food. If you expect to order pizza at this place then you are sadly mistaken. Obviously, these guys know what they are doing; the owner is a well known and well established restaurateur with many other successful restaurants. I was thoroughly impressed and plan to go back many times. I have always considered Leesburg/Loudoun County to be full of hillbillies so I was shocked to find such a classy restaurant in the land of the Clampetts. This restaurant should have been in a major city like DC or NYC. This place is not for your local, average Leesburg resident. [08 Aug 2007 10:38:14]

Overpriced for average food in average environment Zeffirelli's Leesburg, sister restaurant to the wonderfully atmoshperic Herndon restaurant, does not live up to expectation.
We visited between Christmas and New Year, it was not spectularly busy, which is why we struggled to understand why the service was lacking, no menus or water for nearly 15 minutes; another 20 minutes for the appetizer, and some time after that a rather underheated main course.
We were a party of just two. Disappointing. We are not willing to pay upwards of $100 for two (and that was sharing an appetizer and no dessert)for such an unsatisfactory experience.
Also curious to note, Zeffirelli's prides itself on being true to its Italian reputation. I think we noted one Italian server, the majority of the staff were Asian. [30 Dec 2007 16:04:44]

Awful service ... despite good food We have dined at Zeffirelli's on numerous occasion and have always been pleasantly surprised by the food and attentive service. We went this weekend, expecting the same, but had less than stellar experience. They were surprised by a large party (30+) and were obviously not able to handle it. We were only a table of 2, but were treated like second class citizens. They ran out of everything, including items on their regular menu (carpaccio, lobster bisque). When I was informed that the special pasta dish I ordered would not have lobster, I changed my order. Our waiter did not take to this well, and gave us a disgruntled look. That was the last time we saw him! We asked for a dessert menu, and what I would assume is the manager, shoved a "free" dessert (that was obviously an extra from the large unexpected party)and never gave us a menu. He also took a way a partially consumed bottle of sparkling water that we paid for! TO add insult to injury, when we finally got the check 30 minutes after we finished, the manager walked around with our platinum card in hand while continuing to serve the large party!!! We were only a table of two but had a respectable bill (150 without tip) that I thing would warrant the same level of service. Although the quality of their food is good, the horrible service will have us thinking twice before we go. [17 Feb 2008 11:06:46]

Left thinking I was a sheep that got fleeced. Been to Zefffirelli a number os times when it first openned, I was impressed. The chef was from Dominiques from Washington. He left, the menu changed, the food declined, the prices went up. Stopped going after a number of overpriced, unsatisfactory dinners. Went back for lunch recently, decent yet still overpriced, not into $20+ per person lunches in the burbs! Dinner was astronomically priced and I left hungry. [24 Jun 2008 18:25:21]
