Aunt Sarah's Sucks!
Our visit to the Aunt Sarah's in Lexington VA, store #595, was the worst we had ever had in a restaurant. We came in and the hostess didn't even acknowledge us then when we were finally seated after a fifteen minute wait, we had to wait another 20 minutes for the slow and very incompetent waitress to come over and take our order. After waiting another 50 minutes we finally got our nasty cold food. we waited until our kids choked down their nasty food and we left, after having to flag the waitress over to give us our check. We had to pay $31.81 for this meal, and had to stop at another restaurant because we left there starving! I will NEVER make another mistake of stopping at another Aunt Sarah's again. And I WANT MY MONEY BACK! By the way, we never even got any silverware with our meal and had to eat with our hands    [26 Nov 2001 18:55:45]

bad food /expensive price
I agree AUNT SARAHs was one of my worst Dinners I have ever had! 2 pieces of frozen fish $ 5 sm. shrimp $8.79 (taste bad), &10.50 for a 10oz ribeye (very fatty) the waiter forgot my salad, I had to ask for it, my baked potato had a rotten spot inside; the waiter told us the kids meal came with a drink it did not it was .99cents; they got a sm frozen cheese pizza & fries for 3.19 ea. My salad was all lettuce! I complained to the cashier she did not take anything off! This whole rotten meal cost us $29.70!!!!! WOULD NEVER GO THERE IF I WERE YOU    [02 Jun 2002 21:43:55]

service was terrible
Last week on the way to North Carolina my husband and I got up early anticipating a great breakfast which we have had before, when we got to Aunt Sarah's we were seated however 20 minutes later (the restaurant was not busy) we still had not been acknowledged by the waitress. Another waitress noticed how long we had been waiting but said we were not her table to wait on, at that time all she was doing was clearing a table and could have at least gotten us a drink but she didn't therefore we left the reastaurant and will never go back. This is poor service and no reason why it should have happened.

incompetence
I too went to this location and it was awful. I asked why the terrible food and poor service. It turns out that the manager refuses to hire! The hostess has to also cook, the waitress had to do double duty as the dishwasher and they both had to handle the cash register!! No wonder why everything turns out wrong. Is Aunt Sarah's that cheap that they can not hire another person? The waitress and hostess were very apologetic and I feel for them.    [20 Sep 2002 07:40:34]

We stopped there to eat a couple times.

Worst Restaraunt On Earth!!
My wife, children and I ate at the Aunt Scrappy's on Hull Street in Chesterfield Virginia on 2-16-03. Talk about a disgusting food establishment!! The overall look was nice but service, food quality and management??? Blah!! We had undercooked eggs for my son! Sent back twice but still could'nt get it right. I am writing to our local papers to request an undercover assignment for investigative reporters!!! I am awaiting a confirmation call as we speak!! IT WAS LIKE EATING AT THE
FIRST OF THE HELP WAS THE BEST..I WASNT EVEN IN THE DOOR AND THEY HAD US SEATED..A PARTY OF 18 WAS WITH ME. WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO COME HERE.. BEFORE I COULD EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THE WAITRESS TO GET US DRINKS..SHE CAME OVER WITH A ROUND OF "FREE DRINKS" AND TOYS FOR THE KIDS.. SHE MUST BE A MOM. THEY ALL MUST BE BY THE WAY THEY WORK SO HARD .. AND THE FOOD LET ME TELL YOU THE BEST .. LIKE EATING AT THE "WHITE HOUSE" .. MR. Very Good Pancakes
We stopped on our way back from the safari zoo, I use to go to Aunt Sarah's in Fredericksburg Va. all the time as child and loved it, it ia still just as good. We had excellent service and great food. Although I loved the pancakes so much I bought a bag to cook myself at home, the bag of mix must have been on the shelf for ten years, it was very old, hard clumps of flour(like rocks) and I cooked them anyways and they had a tart flavor, very bad.    [08 Jun 2004 10:17:58]

OH MY GOD!
THE FOOD WAS NASTEY AND I HATED IT. MY BOYFRIEND and I were ON OUR WAY TO VIRGINIA BEACH AND WE STOPED FOR SOME FOOD, AND I HAD a TASTE FOR PANCKAES. LET ME TELL YOU THE PANCAKES STILL HAD THE MIX INSIDE THE BACON WAS STILL LIKE A PINKISH COLOR AND MY FRIED POTATOES WERE NOWHERE NEAR DONE....
