JUST NOT SATISFIED!!!!!!!!!!!!! At these particular CCF I experience something I never experienced before, and I do not mean it in a good way. I went in and order a cheese melt with a side of my favorite dessert(strawberry cheesecake)and received my order in a fast hurry. There were no friendly faces to greet me when I arrived and the cashier brushed me off hastly. When I took my seat in the corner to eat I was disappointed by my lunch. The melt was practically burnt and my cheesecake was topped with bruised strawberries in a unattractive red glaze. When I went to the manager to complain she,Amanda was her name, simply showed no concern. I would rate this CCF with a "2" just because it would be tolerable if I were in a rush. Worth the 20 mile trek from the Beach I have always noticed the lines at this particular eatery to be longer than most at any given time, that tends to be offputting when you are searching for a quick bite to eat while window-browsing. I got lucky one day and decided the line was 'do-able' and was pleasantly surprised to find that it moved quite quickly.
I ordered the flat-bread asian chicken salad and my friend ordered the caesar salad on flat-bread. We both were very impressed with our choices and it was a very difficult to save some for my hubby to try. (Yes, I could have bought him his own, but would that have guaranteed me another trip in the near future???) I have since returned to the Cafe for a flat-bread salad and am embarrassed to say that I have even made the trip just for the lunch. When you gotta have it, nothing else satisfies.
I was disappointed that the Cheesecake factory at Town Center doesn't serve this and that their name was licensed to another corporation. It did not hamper me from making the journey, it only served to motivate me further in my quest.
I did not try any of the cheesecakes, the lunch is slightly more than eating at the BK, even for a salad, but the bread is AWESOME and not something that tastes like it comes out of a bag right before it is served. Say it with me.... BRICK FIRED BREAD!
The service was okay, a little brief, could be better. They were fast and efficient and I'd much prefer that over saccharine sweet/false greetings any day. We got ours to go each time to sit closer to the play area, but oh what guard duty :o) They have to-go bags, utensils, napkins etc. all at a self-serve station.
Give it a try. If you like salads, you will LOVE these, if you don't usually order salads, give it a try. You won't regret it! [27 Mar 2007 22:23:59]
