Outstanding Dinner We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Colvin Run Tavern and loved every minute. The food was outstanding but just an important, if not more, was the atmosphere and service. We had never experienced a restaurant where everything was superb.
Thank you very much. We look forward to dining with you soon.

Lunch time The food was amazing. The field greens were possibly a little overdone (hard to do) but the Salmon was perfect. I eat a lot of salmon but this was definitely the best I've had, and with very little sauce there is no guilt either! The chicken salad (really chicken breast with the salad on the side) was tender and moist.
The service, however, was less than stellar. The waitress was pretty good at the beginning, then seemed to forget all about us. She never checked to see how the meal was; she walked past us at least three times after we had finished eating (it wasn't that she was busy), and left us with empty dishes for at least 20 minutes. Iced teas were empty but at least we had water to drink while we waited for her to remember us. At the end she seemed to "come to," but it was a little late. At those prices, I expect to be better taken care of!
Nice decor...a little masculine but spacious. There is plenty of space between you and your neighbors. Best thing of all is that the entire restaurant is smoke free [21 Apr 2003 15:50:40]

Anniversary Disappointment We went to Colvin Run on the recommendation of friends. While the restaurant is appropriate for business lunches and dinners, we did not find it as wonderful for our anniversary. This is not a quiet intimate place. It has a high level of noise. Additionally our initial server was inattentive, so much so, it necessitated both us us leaving our table and hunting down a Maitre'd. The staff was attentive to our complaint, did reseat us in a quieter area, but having this experience on a special evening was a downer. The food was good, but not the most inventive, again, business lunch, business dinner, relatively traditional. While we did appreciate the personallized menu given to us with our anniversary date, moving us to a better table and reassigning a much more attentive server. We still found the entire experience a disappointment. [18 Feb 2006 13:35:00]
