Excellent Food, Reasonable Price I unexpectedly ran into this restaurant while searching for a quick bite in the Tysons area, and was dissapointed to find that it was closed from 2:30-5:00. I went in anyways to find a man who appeared to be the owner and told him that I was craving some California Rolls, and he made me some even though the restaurant wasnt even open! I was very impressed by this and at 5:01pm that night, I was the first customer in the door for dinner! The food is great, service impeccable, and it was an overall delight. [07 Aug 2003 14:06:13]

Excellent We went in by mistake and we were not only pleasantly surprised but now we will be making it a point to go there each time we go to Tysons. Don't miss out on the buffet. It's great value. I'm glad this restaurant is in business so that one can invite people there and eat great sushi at reasonable prices.

Great sake to complement sushi I have had the pleasure of dining at Jendai numerous times and have found the food to have a genuine Asian flair with an ever so slight European influence. Jendai has an informative descriptive menu featuring an array of choices of sushi, tempura, and stir-fried dishes that are available on the reasonably priced lunchtime buffet which is a major draw for customers. There is also an à la carte menu that has customary nigiri and maki sushi. The sushi and sashimi are each served in a variety of combinations on appealing plates with the largest option served on a large wooden boat that has up to 54 pieces. The daily specials further complement the food options offered and the many types of sake offered, able to be served hot or cold enhance the many menu choices.
Jendai’s décor, with the light wood tables, light rice-colored lanterns and sushi bar provide an airy relaxing atmosphere together with the superb and attentive service provided by the friendly staff. A bar serving the cocktails featured on the menu could improve the overall ambiance of the restaurant and provide a bar option in the mall for customers. Jendai celebrated its one-year anniversary in mid-July and in that one year has proven to be a positive addition to the Tysons Corner area [21 Jul 2004 22:23:57]
