Deliciously Sensible My first visit to Tara Thai left me intrigued and proud that an Asian restaurant with style, charm and flavor DOES exist! My palete for Asian food is critical and unforgiving. I tend to judge the service quickly, leaving the flavors of a dish a tough fight to win me over. Walking through Tara Thai's (Arlington) doors I was greeted by friendly hosts and beautiful design. There is a cooling blue aqua theme throughout the restaurant that provides versatile ambiance. Amongst mixed parties and couples, my husband and I sat next to a large family with children enjoying a birthday dinner while the bar entertained a late happy hour crowd. It was refreshing to see so many different clientele in one establishment. When our food came the waitress described the dishes and eagerly awaited our approval. I would recommend the CRISPY FISH and DUCK dish as entrees as both had wonderful texture and aromatic flavor. A variety of chili and peppers were provided for my husband's spicy palete, while I preferred the sweet and sour sauces as is. The PAD THAI also proved to be different from your run of the mill Thai restaurant dish. Prices were set modest in return for the dining experience. And after a feast like meal, we didn't feel heavy and lethargic. We've since returned on many different occasions, each time our senses are awakened [27 Oct 2005 00:58:49]
