The Secret is Out
When we were in Virginia Beach a week ago, we asked a friend who lives there "Where's The best restaurant"? Without a pause he replied , "Steinhilber's!" He followed up with, "But it's not easy to find". Now I know why. The local folk consider this to be their restaurant. They don't even advertise. Yes it was a 15 minute drive from the resort area, but it would have been worth it if had been were one hour. No matter what I write, it wouldn't fairly describe the experience. So, I will only say three things; The tempura butterfly shrimp, another place in time, and lastly, the seven of us can't wait for our next visit. If you go, you will add this to the list of places you drop the names of when you are talking about culinary experiences. I prom    [31 Aug 2003 16:02:26]

GREAT
I have been there 5 times now and have never had even the closest thing to a disappointment. The food is great and the service is even better. I am going tonight and it is the only that has gotten me through the day.    [31 Oct 2003 17:13:06]

Perfect place to get that engagement ring !!!!
I have been to there twice and I cant wait to go back again. The service is like no other in the area. This is a very nice place to take your special lady and pop that question. The atmosphere is awesome, there are dimmed lights, fresh roses at every table, candle lite at every table, and the fire place is going also. What a great place to have a romantic dinner with great food and service. This is surely to be the best restaurant experience you have ever had....    [20 Jan 2005 12:12:19]

From a Worker's Point of View
I actually work at Steinhilber's as a busboy and this has not deterred me from choosing it as my all time favoritre restaurant. No restauante offers such exquisite dishes with the same variety and quality as this fine establishment.    [22 Feb 2005 12:38:25]

Return visit was a must!
My husband and I just returned from a two week vacation of which Steinhilbers' played a MAJOR role. My sister resides in Chesepeake and we visited with them but we had to admit, our PRIMARY reason to Virginia is STEINHILBER'S. We are from Dania Beach which is south of Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami, Florida and he has often tried to have us go up 16 hours for dinner and return the next day or so. Absolute best seafood restaurant in business, Steinhilber's will continue to be our # 1.    [07 Mar 2005 20:08:06]

It's All About The Shrimp!
If you are a shrimp lover... you haven't lived until you've tried Steinhilbers jumbo butterfly shrimp with that wonderful secret dipping sauce (just what is in that?)! The rest of the menu is also wonderful and dessert is a must! The service is always great and the ambiance is wonderful! Beware, once you try those shrimp, you'll be addicted!    [19 Oct 2007 22:54:49]
