One of the Best Restaurants in Vermont Chef is a former instructor at NECI, and her husband, the maitre d', is very knowledgeable about wines. Located in a charming old house on the shore of the pond. [05 Aug 2005 20:02:05]

Poor Customer Service, the Owner Is Rude We had a very poor experience at Ariel's on Valentines Day. We wrote a letter to express our dissatisfaction, and asked for a partial refund, in a truthful, but non-rude manner. We received a rude, hostile letter in response, and was told no refund would be issued. Talking to the owner, Lee, on the phone was very hostile, and she was not friendly, warm or welcoming to anything I had to say. [01 Mar 2006 20:38:31]

Absolutely Lovely A little funky, a little out of the way, but well worth the trip. The food is marvelous, Richard is charming and helpful with wines, but never pushy, and the whole experience has a kind of homestyle elegance that leaves you completely comfortable, well-nourished, and just throughly content.
The pub menu is the best deal around - we had dinner for 4 with drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert, and 2 bottles of wine for under $200. [26 Mar 2006 09:19:34]

We Had a Very Nice Time We had a very nice meal. We enjoyed the service and food. I particularly enjoyed sitting in such close proximity to the pond. With the sun dropping and darkness setting in (and the wine kicking in) the atmosphere was outstanding. [18 Sep 2006 12:27:27]

Yum, Yum, Yum Escaped from the Boston area to this quiet, relaxing, amazing dining experience. People were friendly, food was great, service was above and beyond.
The area in general is very beautiful; it's a great little getaway. [30 May 2007 17:09:37]
