Description

Serves authentic Italian cuisine in Vermont's Capitol City of Montpelier. Dinner is served seven nights a week, plus lunch Monday through Saturday.

The highlights: wood burning oven; enclosed heated deck overlooking the Winooski river; often very busy. Moderately priced.

Delicious Food!

That's the underpinning reason for the success of this very popular restaurant. Since opening its doors in 1994 Sarducci's has been serving the Capitol City some of the best Italian food in all of Vermont.

Without much effort you can easily feel like you are in Italy. Close your eyes and you can smell the garlic, olive oil, woodsmoke, and variety of freshly prepared sauces. Lively conversations are going on all around you in the open seating dining room and on the enclosed deck. Open your eyes to take in the authentic Italian pottery from Tuscany and Umbria as well as the photographs of Italy taken by the owners while visiting Italy.

An excellent wine selection awaits you as well as a some hand-crafted beers from Vermont brewmasters.

And the food! Healthy portions of freshly prepared Italian meals. The wood fired oven is in use all day and night and provides a variety of authentic Italian pizzas. From seafood to steak, pastas to pizzas, from children to adults, Sarucci's pleases the palettes of loyal patrons and visitors to our Capitol alike.

Friday and Saturday nights are always busy so call ahead at least one hour to reserve your place on the waiting list. If you arrive without calling, plan on waiting at least 30 minutes or more for a table.

Great food, decent prices, and a wonderful staff. This restaurant remains as busy as the day it opened so many years ago and that speaks volumes. The food is spectacular and the staff really are great. The one complaint I have is, which only pertains to us locals, is that the menu has never changed. I have been there so often over the years that I have ordered everything on the menu several times and I am a bit bored with the fare. If it ain't broke why fix it?
