Excellent family-style sushi house Nothing fancy, just as good sushi as you will get outside of Japan or places 20 times as expensive in NY or LA. If you know and like sushi, this is a delight to find. [10 Mar 2002 20:39:45]

Charming This is my favorite restaurant on the island. Koji is an amazing sushi chef. The service is wonderful. [29 Aug 2003 15:21:39]

A great find! My Mother is originally from Japan and has quite a discriminating palate when it comes to Japanese food.
So happily, our first visit to the Sushi house was a real treat.
The fish was fresh, the sushi rice was prepared exactly as it should be.
Typically, most "sushi" restaurants use a lower quality calrose and tend to overcook the rice to the point of being overly soft and sticky. This was not the case here. In fact, the sushi served here was quite authentic. Exactly what one should expect from an experienced Japanese Sushi Chef.
Highly recommended. [20 Oct 2004 14:54:51]

Outstanding Food, Excellent Service, Good Decor I've been eating at the BI Sushi House for about six years. It's my favorite restaurant in Washington.
I've eaten at the best sushi restaurants in New York, and was surprised to find that the food at the Bainbridge Island Sushi House is just as good (some of it is even better).
The waitresses are very kind and professional (not to mention gorgeous). Especially the owner, Lisa.
The decor is clean, but nothing to write home about.
Overall, it has been THE VERY BEST eating experience I've had in the Pacific Northwest. [29 Aug 2005 08:39:24]

This restaurant is closed I loved BISH and it is now gone. I'd love to know where Koji has gone to. I used to drive with my friends from Port Townsend (a one hour plus drive) to enjoy the delicacies that Koji prepared. We have some good sushi in PT, but BISH was the BEST. [08 Feb 2007 14:03:46]
