A Real Joy Did the Easter brunch at the Bothell Grazie and was delighted. The selection and amount of food was tremendous, the staff cheerful and in good spirits in spite of the crowd--all around a delightful experience. Some of the selections: pizza from applewood fired oven, great pasta, crepes, omelets, salmon, shrimp, eggs benedict, gourmet desserts, and quite a bit more. Did not feel like a chain at all. what do you expect? If you are going expecting a fine italian meal Grazie's falls short. The reason I say this is because when you first walk in that is the impression that they (the managment) attempts to leave. A nice jazz bar, open kitchen, wait staff in tux. But when you look at the details it is obvious to anyone who has been to a nice Italian Ristorante that they cut corners that are obvious to the public. Paper napkins, fake plants. The food is "ok" and it is not too pricy but is comparible to a local pizzaria, not what it hypes itself to be. If you are a college student or have 2+ kids on a tight budget hey, that's your place to splurge but if you are looking for a well done romantic Italian meal check out Stella Mia's right down the street. Family owned and run, pride with every dish. [13 Jun 2004 23:42:13]

Staff trips to Italy makes difference Had great time at grazie tonight; server recommended wine from winery he visited in Italy. Loved the gorganzola salad and beef tenderloin medallions, pan-seared and finished with a balsamic gorgonzola sauce. Live music by Micheal Powers jazz bar was packed it looks like the place to be.
