Napkins
Good food, some items overpriced. A visit there is always enjoyable.

But why on earth can't the Boat Shed provide cloth napkins or at worst a quality paper one?? Very tacky.

Can't remember, what napkins are used at the Yacht Club Broiler?    [20 Jan 2002 00:04:32]

Boat Shed Bremerton EXCELLENT!!!
Dined at waterfront restaurant for the first time.
Scallops and steamers were fairly priced and both were wonderful. It would be a shame to ever lose this historic fun dining place.    [19 Dec 2003 11:16:39]

Not bad.. once again
Yes, the prices are a little expensive and they don't have cloth napkins but.. *shrug* I've always enjoyed the food and the service is always prompt and friendly.

Mood lighting was included, free of charge, and the view from the window was nice.

Our experience has always been good and the food... can't say enough about the food. The artichoke dip was exquisite, the seafood linguine was superb and the grilled mahi-mahi was delicious.

The wait staff catered to the kids who were present and made sure they asked before setting soda after soda in front of them.

Very accommodating and when more than the expected number of guests in our party showed up, we were set up in a corner of our own without too much of a wait and the service was quick. A little too quick for some folks when the salads were still being eaten when our main courses arrived..

All in all, I like this restaurant and will recommend it to others. It may not have the prestige of the "Yacht club" behind it's name but it's well worth the visit!    [01 Oct 2004 12:55:05]

Food Good, Service unresponsive
Food was fairly good value (quantity vs. quality).

Sun-drenched plastic deck chairs (from the trailer park next door?) broke under weight of 180# man. Staff did not respond and man had to get an extra seat from another table after others helped him up.    [26 Oct 2004 18:07:23]

Check your bill before paying
Have enjoyed the food the three times I have dined here and the service is good. However, we were overcharged by twenty-five dollars on our last visit! Luckily, the bill seemed high to me and I caught the error before we had left.    [25 Mar 2005 16:01:51]

Excellent dinner, nice view
Want a nice dinner? Here's the place. But, be prepared to pay a little more than your local teriyaki joint. Most of the hostesses are lovely and pleasant. Some with Brittany Spears / Kate Beckinsale features, but our party was very well served by more of a Janis Joplin / Kirstie Alley type. We started with the steamed clams and drinks, two types of bread and clam chowder. The chowder was unique. Lots of garlic and big chunks of bacon. Not typical of chowder for this area and I was impressed. My spouse had the a terrific teriyaki chicken salad lightly dressed with the house lemon vinaigrette. I had the chicken piccata. I like capers, but this went a little overboard. I'll bet they used a whole jar on one chicken breast. The breast was breaded and fried. The piccata sauce soaked into the breading causing the chicken to be somewhat soggy. The flavor was magnificent though. The service was tremendous. It was a team effort all the way. One person brought out the clams, another delivered the soup. The main courses were brought out by our server. I like my water and tea glasses full. Our server did a terrific job checking and refilling our drinks. The bill for the two of us was just over $50. Most of the dishes on the menu were around $15-18. Some were around $20-24. We sat by the window and had to have our server adjust the blind from the glare across the sound. We watched eagles dipping into the water for their dinners. We enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely go back.    [31 May 2006 21:58:35]

Who cooked the cow?
I ordered a steak salad and my partner ordered a steak sandwich here just a couple of days ago. We had some nice stringy, gray looking meat that was maybe the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth! Sadly they drenched my salad in onions that were fried in dirty oil while his sandwich was dry as a board. Nobody bothered to ask us how the dinner was, as they cleared our nearly untouched plates. Thanks!
I have heard that their pasta or fish dishes are OK but please... DON'T ORDER THE BEEF. Gross.    [06 Jun 2007 16:10:32]

Never Again
My family went there a few weeks back. The place has so much potential. The location is fantastic, great view over the water. However, it's too bad their food doesn't even come close to the view. My wife ordered the steak salad, I had a New York Strip and my daughter had a typical kid's plate. The steak salad was horrid. Big chunks of chewy steak on some not very interesting salad. My steak was chewy and dry. The vegetable sides were a disgusting blob of overcooked vegetables with no flavor. And all this for over $70! Never, never ever again. Why is this place so popular? I guess residents here are starved for a good restaurant.    [08 Nov 2007 15:59:40]
