The cuisine is absolutely fabulous here. The culture aimed for is hit in the bullseye. A menu mostly comprised of Italian with a northwest influence, and an added bonus of Greek, and French.

A restaurant misplaced.
La Fermata is a rare gem of a restaurant. The true dinning experience is found there. Romantic, friendly,outstanding cuisine. The wine list rivals top notch restaurants anywhere.
If this restaurant was in Seattle or any major city you would have to wait months to get in. That may be the only good reason that I enjoy that it is still in Bremerton.    [15 Jan 2007 02:09:34]

Best on Peninsula and worth traveling to
I have enjoyed this restaurant for years. When we moved to this area from Seattle I was and am very disappointed with local restaurants. La Fermata "Whistle stop Cafe" in Italian is not only a local favorite but is in my top 5 all time favorites. My only complaint is that it is not open every day of the week. It has a perfect romantic atmosphere but we have taken our children on special occasions and they were extremely accommodating and children friendly. Absolutely wonderful food and wine. My husband still craves the steak with gorganzola once offered. I love the prawn appetizer and salad so much I make it a main course. You can not fail here.    [23 Mar 2007 16:30:55]

Deliciously Charming

The best restaurant in the area
La Fermata is, hands down, the best option for fine dining in South Kitsap. Professional service, great ambiance, wonderful food, and a varied and thoughtful wine list add up to blow any other place around here out of the water/Sinclair Inlet.
