Great food.... My wife and I are breakfast snobs. Seldom does a restaurant have it all..... good coffee, good food, good service, and good atmosphere. Chanterelle has it all... except the last.
The noise level on weekends is incredible! I'm not a sound engineer, but maybe some hangings or something would help.
Perfect for reading the paper or your book, but the sound level nearly prohibits chatting. [30 Sep 2003 01:37:19]

Loud noises! Downtown Edmonds, one of the central dining experiences Edmonds has to offer, but is it really the best?
Food - The usual breakfast and lunch, very few one of a kind or specialty meals.
Service - Nothing out of the average, not horrible but nothing worth mentioning.
Ambiance - LOUD. This place must reproduce sound 3-4 times over! Even with a hand full of casual diners, this place can get so loud you can hardly hear yourself think!
Other - It's really quite average. The menu leaves a bit to be desired, they are trying too hard to be one of a kind and in the process forgot how to make a normal meal.
Between the crazy noise & lifeless menu... dont venture too far out of your way for this place. [22 Dec 2005 20:18:19]

overpriced ! Ordered the fruit plate, consisting of a very small plate artfully arranged so that lengthwise cuts of melon formed the basis for a very small pile of 5 or 6 fruits. Four or five grapes, maybe one strawberry, some melon, a thin SLICE of orange, but the best part were some mango strips, and it came to close to $6. I won't be going back. [07 Aug 2006 08:59:49]

One of my Favorites! Wow. Doesn't sound like I went to the same place as the last two reviewers. Chanterelle's menu is eclectic but it is WONDERFUL! There are classic dishes done well, old fashioned comfort foods and international dishes done with a unique twist. I can't think of another restaurant that can do breakfast, lunch and dinner, and do them all as well. The service is friendly and good. Sometimes they are really busy, but you can tell they're all working hard to do a good job. I always see one of the owners there, working hard right along side the staff insuring that all goes well and everyone is happy. I have never been disappointed! [28 Feb 2007 12:50:34]
