So Romantic! Great atmosphere and service. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine list. And the food was terrific. I had the butternut squash ravioli...to die for. The lighting, the wine, the live music (if you're lucky), has turned Giradi's into my boyfriend's and my "place". [07 Oct 2003 19:39:08]

Mealy Pasta and Gristly Veal We picked Girardi's because it looked like a swanky joint. Inside we were served one of the most uninspired, insipid interpretations of Italian cuisine I've ever had. We had the Gorgonzola Pear Pasta as our "primi plati" and the Veal for our "secondi". First of all, since when do Italian restaurants serve the "primi" and "secondi" at the same time? The pasta was mealy, like wet bread, and drenched with thick sauce. So sad when Americans interpret "pasta" to mean "sauce" - the focus should be on the PASTA, get it? Our veal was barely palatable. A gristly, cheap, deep fried wafer of a thing. The wine was overly young. The side dishes overcooked. We left feeling ripped off, leaving our mostly untouched meal on the table. Best atmosphere & service in Edmonds Girardi's is our "default" restaurant for our weekly date nights. Good food, great Italian wine list, very attentive service, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere.
This is where the knowledgeable local Edmonds locals go -- especially on the warm nights when the crowds are over at the Waterfront restaurants. [14 May 2006 17:08:50]

Family Favorite My family and I love this place. Great wine and awesome pasta dishes. The only thing I don't like is their bread choice. The ravioli and the bolongese are always a hit, as is the mac and cheese. [27 Jun 2007 15:19:25]
