Absolutely Excellent! The best Asian food I've had in the North End. The Walnut Prawns and General Tso Chicken are must haves. And the Kang Gai is amazing! [10 Jan 2005 21:42:13]

Best Chinese Food Around This restaurant has an incredible and diverse menu. Like most people who enjoy Chinese food, I judge (at least in part) a restaurant based on how they prepare my favorite dish. The sweet and sour chicken is to die for. I have to drive 45 minutes to get there but it is worth it every time.
**Side Note** Kenny Lee who owns Provinces in an incredible chef and also happens to own Shallots Asian Bistro in Downtown Seattle (on 4th and Vine I believe). It is a more upscale and trendy experience and as one might expect the food and prices reflect this. There is often a wait so get there early and don't expect to find any sweet and sour chicken on the menu of this Seattle hot spot. I recommend the honey glazed walnut salad and the lemon grass chicken. After eating there once you won't forget Shallots (or Provinces for that matter) the next time you are looking for a place to celebrate something special.
