Best sushi in Edmonds Sushi Moto has long been our favorite sushi spot -- as well as the favorite of many of our sushi-loving friends in Edmonds. It definitely rates with some of the more renowned spots in Seattle (e.g. Toyoda Sushi in Lake City, etc.)
Great food, fast service, good dining atmostphere. [14 May 2006 17:04:40]

Good food, bad service Sushi Moto is by far the best sushi spot in Edmonds. The food is definitely is the bright spot. Large menu selection and a nice dining area. Don't go here if you're in a hurry or are expecting good service. Wait staff has an "I don't care" attitude and is very forgetful. [03 Feb 2007 22:09:21]

Food good service not so good ------------- A few things: ------------- 1) Do not order miso soup. -If you do they will charge you and bring out only one bowl. This is significant because you get a bowl as part of your meal for free. Would you rather get that one bowl for free or pay for it? We learned this the hard way.
2) Ask for water when you order. -If you do not you may not get a chance to until you are ready to leave.
3) You can't be afraid to be loud and ask for more tea... -If you get embarrassed easily by things like asking waiters/waitresses for more things, be satisfied with "what you see is what you get". They will probably not visit your table again unless they are bringing you your bill.
------------------- On the preparation: ------------------- When the male sushi chef makes the sushi, the cuts are well made, the rolls are tight and the food is overall well prepared, albeit a little small proportioned to what I am used to.
When the female "sushi chef" makes the sushi, the cuts are unimpressive, the rolls loose and made without passion. The food lacks the feeling like they really care about you as customer or really want to be there.
---------------------------------- On the "service", or lack thereof: ---------------------------------- The gentlemen, while not perfect, do put a lot of effort and deserve applause for their great work.
The female attendances are either no where to be found, refuse to show eye contact when talking to you, are cold, or utterly ignore you. I have had to sometimes walk to the cash register, which is visible from all the tables not behind curtains, and ask for more tea or water.
----------------- A side annoyance: ----------------- I would prefer if they gossiped less and attended to the patrons more.
-------- Overall: -------- Even after all of the above, I rate the experience as "Quite Enjoyable" as it is good (most of the time) and well priced. Don't expect much from the service. [13 Aug 2008 21:00:07]
