BEST FOOD YOUR $ CAN BUY! I am an Issaquah local of one and a half years and Jak's has become my favorite restaurant EVER! It is not pretentious like other steak restaurants, what you see is what you get. No appetizers. You won't need any. With your entree you get a salad, bread, a vegetable side and choice of potato. The steak choices are SUPERB with Jak's filet being the best I have EVER eaten. The fish specials are out of this world. One of my personal favorites is the Stuffed Pork Chop. Go to Jak's or miss out on the best meal of your life! And oh, expect to wait for a table, but you will be over rewarded for your patience [12 Sep 2002 20:42:32]

Gourmet food at a hole in the wall. From the outside this place looked like an old bar but when you open the doors, your preconceptions are quickly changed by the modern atmosphere. When you receive your food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by sophisticated rich taste. The food is absolutely incredible. Better get there early though if you want to avoid a long wait. They fill up quickly! Only downside... it gets a little noisy inside (people talking). The acoustics are really bad (or good depending on how you look at it). [04 Oct 2002 15:02:06]

Small local restaraunt with big city taste Perhaps one of the best food establishments in the Seattle area. Now if only they would have reservations. If you don't know, there is an excellent Chinese restaurant with an excellent all-wood decor and fireplace next door that you can go grab a drink at and wait to be called for your table. Highly recommended rather than trying to wait there at Jak's as the bar and waiting area is too small to accommodate the crowd. Just let the hostess know and they will call over when your table is ready (many many locals do this so it's expected). [14 Dec 2002 01:00:46]

Jak's is good, long wait to get in Jak's is excellent food but they take no reservations so you must wait to get in. Depending on the night, this could be two hours or more! They need to start a reservation system. [14 Apr 2003 21:21:37]

Great food, well worth the wait I too love the Filet at Jak's. I have experienced nothing like it. The wait is long though, unless you get there early (before 5pm). There is a great martini bar next door to kill the wait though. [31 Dec 2003 18:27:31]
