WOW I have been a regular at Ricardo's for the past 2 years, I can tell you that there are no OK items on the menu. All items are super, especially the steaks. Try the crab cakes and and any seafood you see on the menu. If you are a wine drinker like I am, ask Rob for his recommendation, he won't let you down. All in all, this is the best restaurant in town and if you try their steaks you wont be satisfied with anyone else's. [20 Oct 2006 19:07:48]

Good place, not the best A remodeled house in a Lacey neighborhood is the setting for dinner at Riccardo. Try eating a nice dinner in your garage. the following reviews are accurate and you can get that kind of service, but my experience is that is it rare if you eat there on a regular basis that your meal and service will be up to snuff every time. Some appetizers don't live up to the hype (beef diablo) and some of the pastas have come out cold. Probably waiting on the steak. The wait staff seems nervous and out of place when asked to make a drink. [08 May 2008 15:43:17]

Way Overpriced I ate at Ricardo's when it first opened and loved it! Great food, great dining room, and overall just a good place to go. Now I see a way overpriced menu (14oz ribeye $35!) and the pasta ($16-$21) that is outrageous for pasta that is not hand made red sauce that consists of canned tomatoes and white sauce that is a basic bechamel sauce (butter, flour, milk, cream) I use to eat here when it was priced right. I see a case of a cocky chef who thinks that his restaurant in Lacey is a fine dining restaurant in New York. [26 Jun 2008 04:02:47]

Not Real Italian Food, Sorry As a born and raised in a strict Italian family from New Jersey I decided to give this place a shot for me and my wife's anniversary.
Good atmosphere, and creative idea turning a house into a restaurant.
Food. Eh, not so good. Tasted like it was a reheated frozen food dish.
The only place that I've had decent Italian food out here on the west coast was at Mercado in Olympia. Even there its not that authentic. [07 Feb 2009 20:18:22]

Best Restaurant in Thurston County I don't think Ricardo's has ever claimed to be an authentic Italian restaurant, when talking to the wait staff they said their food was Italian inspired and they go with what people want, and do it with quality ingredients. Also as far as price, the anonymous in Lacey is was off base, yes, they have some pricey items but they also have pastas starting at 9.99! They also have amazing pizzas and every time I have had a steak it is cooked to perfection and deliciously juicy. The "remodeled house" is decorated so beautifully, I have referred to it many times as trendy and even a little sexy. Their pasta sauces are are made to order as well as the majority of their other dishes, even desert! I will be back time & time again. Thanks, Ricardo's, for making my occasions more special [30 Mar 2009 21:31:42]

Mushroom Festival Haven't really had a chance to get to the restaurant itself, but we did manage to buy a pizza at the Mushroom Festival in Lacey today. OMG! The goat cheese mushroom pizza was to die for. Baked in an oven powered by wood. Awesome guys. Simply awesome. We will be looking you folks up soon. [28 Jun 2009 21:16:38]
