Description
Andreas Keller was established in 1989 out of a love for Bavaria and the "gemutliche" restaurants. Authentic atmosphere with live music on selected evenings.

For the love of sausage Authentic Bavarian cuisine in a fun atmosphere. Reasonably priced. The sausages are the best deal, served with German potato salad, winekraut and rye bread. The Kasespatzle topped with mild Swiss cheese and served with green salad is my favorite here. [14 Nov 2003 00:47:01]

Not recommended for large groups Went here as part of a group. It was chosen because they have enough seating capacity, and were willing to give a price break I think. We were expected to order from limited choices as a result of the break however, and the choices were not to my liking. The service was not good. I know from being a waiter that groups can be difficult, but if they are willing to accept groups, they should be more effective at servicing them. Took to long to get drinks and refills. Food was dry, so drinks were even more important. Any request for service took too long for a response. Staff started to avoid the area. Like I said, I've been there, so I can tell when servers don't want to deal with too much. I wouldn't choose to go back to a place where the best thing was the lady playing the accordian. Go for the Winekraut My husband, daughter and myself visited this restaurant on vacation for a softball tournament. We walked the whole length of Front Street and decided to head downstairs to Andreas Keller. We ordered the meals with sausages and the huge turkey drumstick which were both accompanied by delicious winekraut. Since hubby and I are on low carb diets, we ate a bite of the roll but ate as much winekraut as we could. Neither of us had tasted it before and both really loved it. My daughter and I loved the ambiance and decor so much that we took pictures everywhere in the restaurant.
After visiting and reading about the wonderful Christmas holiday and traditions celebrated in Leavenworth, we may spend one Christmas week there to enjoy the same. [12 Nov 2004 20:49:02]

Potato Salad and Red Cabbage My fiance and I ate at Andrea's Keller several weeks ago and can't quit talking about the delicious meals we had. I have searched the web since coming home to find recipes to duplicate the food. Our waitress, Andrea, was wonderful and the kids dancing we found very entertaining! I wish they'd share recipes! Food was authentic and great Having just moved to the Tacoma/Olympia area from Kaiserlautern, Germany - we can tell you that this food is terrific. Having ventured to Bavaria (Garmish) on several occasions, Andreas Keller keeps the dishes authentic and true to the region.
We were disappointed at seating accommodations for U.S. standards - but who are we kidding, the wait is worth the service, food, and beer. [12 Feb 2007 02:02:37]

Great Even During Construction My wife and I stopped for dinner at the Andreas Keller restaurant during the "off" season (when tourism is light). Part of the restaurant was under construction (we didn't ask why), so the limited seating was even more limited, but the crowd was small, and we soon had a very comfortable booth. The theme of the restaurant feels authentic, and I found myself wanting to break out the camera.
Staffing was very light--one server, one buser and one cook. The food came very quickly, but it took some time to get any other service. We didn't mind, though. We were not in any hurry, and the staff was extraordinarily friendly.
The food was great, but it is definitely not traditional American fare. Some customers (like my dad) may not care for it. My wife tried the Kasespatzle (a German-style pasta with real Swiss cheese) and thoroughly enjoyed it, even as leftovers the next evening. I had schnitzel and tried the house mustard with it. Fantastic! At the server's suggestion, we tried a soft drink called Spezi, which was very simple but tasty. Even the salad was good.
The prices are low when compared to other restaurants in Leavenworth. [20 May 2007 22:31:24]

THE BEST IN THE US!!! My husband and I lived in Bavaria for 2 years. We have been from the US East coast to here on the West coast trying German food all the way. Andrea's Keller is the BEST Bavarian anywhere that we found in the US! I think we know true Bavarian flavor and it is here! If you love German Food or want to try the real thing for the first time..this is the place to go! [14 Jul 2007 02:33:49]

Visiting for the last 15 years My husband and I have been visiting Leavenworth just for a dinner at Andreas Keller for years now. It never fails to please. The beer; the service; the food. The red cabbage is one of the closest that has ever come to my mom's and her's was the best! Try it you won't be sorry. [17 Sep 2007 03:03:42]
