Delicious Sampler Platter
This was a great find in Leavenworth. The prices were reasonable and the food was great. We tried the Sampler Platter for 2 and enjoyed everything on it.    [27 Jan 2004 17:23:32]

Worth the drive!
We visit Leavenworth WA often and consider Cafe Mozart one of our favorite places to dine--period. The smoked Duck salad with raspberry vin. dressing is "to live for". We've tried numerous menu selection and have yet to have a less than superb experience.    [17 Sep 2004 20:01:49]

Wounderful, we love it
We did not have a place to go on this last Thanksgiving. So we drove to Leavenworth and found this wonderful second floor elegant and stylish oasis. They took us in, despite the fact that we did not have reservation, they made room for us. The food was excellent, the treatment wonderful. We just love it!!! They do not take reservation!
I know it's holiday season and the town is packed with tourists. With long lines waiting for food, they have no problem getting people.

But I think not taking reservation is a very short-sighted move. It makes me feel that they care about making as many sales as possible more than serving/respecting their customer's need.

I give the current average rating for the food and ambiance since I didn't eat there. But I'm very disappointed by the service.    [10 Dec 2005 21:14:07]

The atmosphere was nice but...
The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and appealing but the food was the worst food that We have ever eaten. The menu did not explain exactly what you were going to get and when we asked our server she explained something totally different then what we received. We took one look at our food and asked our server what it was and she said what you ordered and walked away. We took one bite and almost puked.... And the waitress who is the owner did nothing to solve the problem but hand us a bill for a whopping $65.00 dollars. Over priced, nasty food and Bad Bad service. I would never go back...And I recommend that no one else either. The complaints were completely ignored and she did not even try to fix the problem.    [24 Apr 2007 01:39:04]

Just okay
I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant and came away afterwords with just a so-so feeling. We were having lunch at 12:30PM. After climbing the long staircase to the restaurant (not easy for the elderly or mobility challenged) we waited to be seated. After waiting for a minute, a waitress walked by saying she would be right with us. After another minute, a busboy walked by and said we would be looked after shortly. So after a two to three minute wait in total the waitress came back and seated us. She was pleasant and we were looked after efficiently. She took our order and brought us a small bread basket. More customers began to arrive and finally more staff began to appear (up until this point we only had seen the waitress and busboy mentioned earlier). While we waited for our food another couple were seated nearby. After changing tables once, the man told his wife they should leave. As they left, our waitress said something like "I DID look after you" so I guess they too had waited at the top of the staircase awhile.

When our food arrived (chicken breast schnitzel and pork schnitzel) the spätzle was only luke warm. We didn't complain about it but we should have. The meat was good as was the à la carte red cabbage. We were asked twice how the food was so the service was good.

The decor was very nice, no complaints.

As we were leaving three staff members (including our waitress) were in the small little bar area in full view of the stairs leading out of the restaurant. It would have been nice if we were said good-bye to or thanked for coming.    [29 Oct 2008 19:45:32]
