The food was outstanding
We stopped here for lunch during our tour of Leavenworth. The waitress was quite friendly and very knowledgeable about Leavenworth's History, as we had some questions for a school assignment we had asked her. Great place to kick back

Wonderful Food

Best Place In Leavenworth!

Always Yummy

Great food, but TOO EXPENSIVE!
Gustav's is probably the largest restaurant in the area. The interior is well done and the staff is very professional. I've dined there in the past and have always enjoyed it.

This time around, I had a burger and fries. The burger was about $10 and that did not come with the fries. We paid just over $3 to share a side of French fries between the two of us. The fries were clearly fresh cut and I did appreciate their quality.

If you go to the Gustav's website, the prices listed are NOT up-to-date. My hamburger was very tasty, but it just wasn't worth $10 sans fries. I'm not sure I'd go back to Gustav's in future trips to Leavenworth because of the inflated prices. It just isn't a fancy enough restaurant to have hiked up prices like that.    [02 Sep 2007 21:38:05]

Don't expect much

Great Food, Great Service, Great Ambiance!
We recently spent a week in Leavenworth over the Holidays and we enjoyed eating every day at Gustav's. The service was friendly and the food came to us quickly and hot every time. We visited a few other restaurants, but learned quickly that Gustav's fit our budget and had something for everyone in our family to enjoy including the kids! The worst meal I've had in a long time
We went here after hearing that they had good food. Our onion rings were cold inside, my bratwurst looked like it had been microwaved, with hard burned chunks over part of it, and our "prime rib" dip was mostly gristle. And the best part, the waitress "accidentally" also added another meal to our bill. Glad we caught it. I would never go back here and never recommend it to anyone.    [11 May 2008 00:46:55]
