Visconti's is great My finance and I recently dined at Visconti's and everything about it was wonderful. They have a great atmosphere, accommodating staff, wonderful wine list, great food.. I would go back there in a second. [01 Dec 2004 16:21:23]

Super fine establishment We drive from Bellevue just for lunch at your wonderful restaurant. Superb food and outstanding service. I like to bring out od town guests there for a special outing. Once in the summer, the waiter opened the window we sat by, looking over the street. It had a very European flavor! Polly [05 May 2005 00:00:14]

A True Pleasure I have dined here many times and each time is as good as the last. The food is always great, a large wine selection, the service is prompt and friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is a great place for a date. I always have the best time at Visconti's. Best Italian in the Valley Visconti's of Leavenworth is truly the best compared to it's sister in Wenatchee. The atmosphere and the wait staff are a both great. We really enjoyed our 29th anniversary dinner this year there. [25 Nov 2005 12:37:53]

The First Honest Review I suppose if I were being generous I would say this restaurant is OK as far as Leavenworth goes, but if you consider the whole wide world of Italian food (or even food in general), Visconti's is well below average. They have a couple tasty dishes, but for the most part, this restaurant charges premium prices for bland and boring food. Their wine list is extensive and the staff always seems knowledgeable and professional, if not too happy to be there. The ambiance is pleasant, even more so now that they remodeled, but their chairs have wheels on a slippery floor, so be prepared to do a lot of sliding around.
Now, on to the food. The salads always sound interesting in description, but un-imaginative in person. I've had better ravioli from the little ladies in the aisles at Costco. In fact, none of their pastas I've tried are worth writing home about (unless you're writing home to complain). The Marsala is probably one of their biggest disappointments. It seems hard to go wrong with such a rich, flavorful dish, but somehow they figured out how to make it tasteless. If you insist on trying this one, get your salt and pepper ready. Steer clear of the veal. Mine was full of little chewy bites that I would have gagged if I had to swallow. Now, it's not all bad, they've got a few finds: the pancetta prawns are tasty (though $10.95 for about 3 little bites seems a bit daring). The bruschetta, especially when ordered in the summer when tomatoes are fresh, is a hearty portion and delicious. Probably the best overall dish on taste and value is the pot roast. It's tender and flavorful. Overall I'd be lying if I said Visconti's is anymore than decent, expensive, and painfully average. [22 Feb 2006 17:57:46]

Where am I? The lack of atmosphere provides the diner with the opportunity to imagine that they are in lost any hotel dining room in America. Hard to tell if this is a Hilton in Hartford or Sacramento.
The quality of food is really hit and miss. I have had excellent meals when there was a special event at the restaurant but any other time it has been marginal at best.
As a local, we do not frequent Visconti's as we cannot trust them to create a great meal. The wine list is extensive but expensive. All in all, not a place we recommend to our out of town family and friends. [21 Jun 2006 15:11:47]

nothing special Went there for first time with family. My wife liked it. Children and myself didn't care for it but I think my wife liked it because of the expense. [17 Jul 2006 21:45:03]

Overall Great night! We were looking for a darker place where we could talk and have good food. We were pleased to find both here. Only gripe is why on earth would you use large sheets of white paper on top of the table cloth? Just do it right and use the linens.. Very strange and for how slick this place looks, this was a very strange idea that really cheapened the look of the place.. [13 Nov 2006 18:23:29]

Very Nice! My family and I are regulars to the Leavenworth ski scene and always manage at least on trip a season to Visconti's. The food is good and the service is wonderful! [05 Dec 2006 10:34:17]

Not so good I agree with a lot of the comments I have read above. I am a local restaurant goer in Leavenworth and Visconti's has time and time again been a very big disappointment. The food has never been consistent. You go once and it's sub-par Italian food and the next time you go back and order the same thing it's completely different. This has just recently occurred on top of a very rude staff member. Myself and another friend decided to give Visconti's one last shot after many bad experiences. (I don't know why I even bother!) I ordered what I've come to find as being the one thing that is somewhat consistent ... the chicken and cheese tortellini. For crying out loud it's cheese sauce, tortellini and chicken!! Well, much to what I probably could have anticipated ... the dish came out and was not right and actually tasted horrible. It tasted more like butter and oil than a cheese sauce at all. To make a long story short, the attitude I received when I pointed out the problem was horrific! I have never been treated so badly. I have been in the service industry for a very long time and there were one hundred different ways the situation could and should have been handled. I have not been back nor would I ever. When you are paying $13 anyway for a lame pasta dish you could for; 1, get it right and for 2, treat your customers with RESPECT. The one good thing I can say about Visconti's is that the Bruschetta is very good and the staff is indeed very knowledgeable about their extensive wine list. It's a shame they don't put as much effort into their customer service skills. [04 Feb 2007 15:20:17]
