Really GOOD Sushi You walk in and it looks like a small, average Japanese restaurant. When you're presented with the menu, you realize that this is not your traditional sushi restaurant. They take the art of making sushi to new heights. If you prefer your sushi cooked, you have quite a selection. The Las Vegas Roll, for example, is a regular roll with crab and cooked eel in the center. But this roll is then dipped in tempura batter, fried to a crisp and served topped with teriyaki sauce. If you like traditional sushi, they have lots of that, too. If you're not a huge sushi fan, you may become one after you try this restaurant. [21 Jun 2001 10:52:31]

Excellent. The best sushi around. This was the best sushi I have ever had. I was travelling on business to Everett with my wife when we found the restaurant on the phone directory. We were in the area 10 days and we ended up having dinner there 6 nights. Even on the day we were leaving, we missed our flight out of Seattle and rented a car again and drove to Sushi Zen for dinner. That time we ordered enough food for 6 people but it was only for my wife and me. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Outstanding sushi and service Sushi Zen is the best sushi place we have ever found. The food is fresh, quality, and outstanding. The cooks are fabulous. All employees are very friendly. Try sitting up at the sushi bar and chat with the cooks; that's how I found my favorite rolls. I order the Spicy Yellow Tail and Yummy Yummy Roll religiously. My boyfriend and I go there at least once a week. Don't go if you're in the mood for a fast meal. Though you get your meals relatively quick, getting you bill is another thing! Have a great time ... and relax. You'll become a regular. I've recommended Sushi Zen to many friends and all have had rave reviews! Enjoy! [26 Feb 2003 21:42:05]

Bad Service, Mediocre food When you go to 7-11 to buy eggs, you go because of convenience. They are the only store in the immediate vicinity and you gotta get eggs. You will pay the jacked up price for the eggs. You will also tolerate the abrasive attitudes of the employees just so you can get what you need.
The same goes for Sushi Zen.
1. The Sushi is mediocre. It isn't the "greatest" Sushi. 2. The cooks at Sushi Zen could give a rat's ass about you. They do not speak. They are abrasive. But - you've paid and they will make your food. That's that.
3. If they are wrong - good luck trying to get them to admit it. Or give you a refund no less. Sheesh - they want to just give you a food credit. I don't want their food - I want my money back. I wasn't satisfied with their food or service, why would I want a credit to come back for more of the same. [12 Aug 2003 14:52:48]

Attitude Problem The above person clearly has an attitude problem. I have eaten at I love sushi in Belleuve and Seattle and I still think Sushi Zen's food is better ... more fresh and flavorful. As far as the employees go ... I know each one by name, AND they remembered my name when I came back. Don't let their opinion jade you from the truth. ;) [15 Dec 2003 15:48:26]

Amazing I guess the owners have changed here. Everything looks so different since I last came in. New Chefs, new staff, new decor, new menu. Food is fabulous. The head chef is the head chef from Nikko's Westin hotel downtown.
Great job to the new management.. [15 Jul 2004 21:14:55]

Bad Bad Bad service The service at sushi-zen is horrible. They were very rude and ignored and just serve you food. I highly recommend not go here. [19 Sep 2004 01:44:48]

Love it! I think that Sushi Zen is one of the better places that I have been for Sushi. Just moving here from Arizona, I find myself lucky that it is in my neighborhood. They have great miso soup, second best to the places we went to in Japan. The cooks have always talked to me when I sit at the bar and joke around, especially in the afternoon when it is not quite as busy. [29 Mar 2005 22:54:56]

Someone Above is telling stories or has an attitude problem. Been to Sushi-Zen probably 30 times now and every time we go it's a great experiance. Small little place that sometimes is a bit crowded, but the food and service are always excellent.
The Negative comments above have to be fictional stories or the Author's attitudes are so terrible that NO ONE could please them. I've been to Sushi-Zen too often to believe either Negative Fairy Tale above.
Great food, Great service, decent atmosphere. Good Stuff. [11 Apr 2006 17:05:40]
