Overprice beer! Milton Tavern is not the place it used to be. The beers out of the tabs are why over price then the going right in the area. Come on, $6.25 for a pint of Stone's IPA, $4.75 for Sierra Nevada PA? Both those beers go for $3.50 at any other Ale House. Your kidding me! The pizza is not what it used to be. overcooked crust with sub-par sauce, cheese, and toppings. Is their a new owner of this place or just one not in touch on how to run an establishment. Great Food, WAY Overpriced I won't be returning to this place again. Although the food is great with a cozy pub atmosphere, they need to seriously bring their prices down a notch. As I recall, all the burgers and sandwiches come with chips. If you want fries they charge you to upgrade! If you want a small side of ranch expect to be charged .70 cents for it. For an establishment that doesn't seem to be hurting for business you'd think they could kick down a side of ranch for free. Give me a break - .70 cents for a side of ranch? Unacceptable. There isn't a burger on the menu less than $10. Come on guys, it's a burger! For $10 burgers you shouldn't be charging over $1 to upgrade to fries. I'm sorry, that is ridiculous. I can get a gourmet burger at Red Robin for the same price with unlimited fries - need I say more? No one bothers to ask, "how's the food?" ... it's another one of these places that feel that they don't need to inquire as to how your meal is. It's the attitude of, "hey this is the Milton Tavern, we KNOW our food is awesome ... we don't need to ask people". The pizza is great... but again, overpriced.
It just really bugs me that places have the nerve to nickel and dime you for something like a tiny side of ranch dressing.
It's really a shame, because I like this place. But I refuse to pay their over-inflated prices and be ripped off. [27 Feb 2008 17:29:23]
