Incredible eats The Ark, owned and managed by Jimella Lucas and Nancy Main, is one of the areas finest restaurants, if not the finest. From the cocktails to desserts, everything is served beautifully and the food is equally as incredible. [04 Feb 2003 17:56:42]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: I suggest a house salad with rokeford, the herb encrusted pork tenderloin medallions, a glass of red wine, and a serving of Swedish Creme to finish off the meal.

VERY DISAPPOINTED The hostess was quite unprofessional READING from the special menu. She did not sit us where we requested to dine even though for the length of our stay the tables at the windows never were fully occuppied.( We were there for at least an hour.) The potatoes were cold and stale. The fish platter was something that looked and tasted like it came from a cheap fast food establishment which tasted very "fishy" .......that being a sign of an old catch. Plus we had to ask the server twice to bring a beverage that we had ordered earlier. [23 Oct 2003 14:08:32]

The Ark has Sunk What was once a wonderful restaurant has declined under new ownership. Under previous ownership (25 years)the menu was varied and imaginative, with local, seasonal dishes. The current menu is limited and descriptions are mis-leading. Oysters arrived pan fried, the menu description, lightly breaded ,sauted in butter. Halibut fish and chips, breading was soggy and fell away from the fish. A cup of clam chowder contained very little evidence of clams. The scallop appetizer sounded tasty but was very bland. The entire experience was disappointing. Bummer. [12 Aug 2006 00:16:47]
