The Best Chinese Food on the East Side
You've got to eat here. The food is outstanding. The wait staff is incredible. The presentation is delightful. Even the background music fits. All this in a strip mall!!!! We eat here often and are always surprised by the value we get. Don't miss this one. They are always busy so expect a wait. We usually get on the waiting list, take a pager and head next door to Starbucks.    [04 Sep 2002 19:14:30]

Taiwanese Exchange students love it!
Our exchange students heard about this place and we drove 1 1/2 hrs for their fantastic food. A great find for sure.    [07 Sep 2003 00:28:12]

believe
The hype is true. This place rocks. Cheap food, good, and plenty of it. Ambiance is definitely strip-mall eatery, so don't come here for the view, come for the food.    [18 Sep 2003 23:54:58]

The reception is so RUDE!
I called the number to reserve a table. The reception was so RUDE! She hold me more than 10 minutes. Finally I called again, but she immediately held me again and no one really answered my call. I'm so angry and disappointed.    [05 Dec 2003 15:31:45]

Fresh & Great ALL OF THE TIME
I am fortunate to live in Newcastle, but many patrons travel from far and wide to get to this restaurant. Our family has been to or taken out from Yea's at least 75 times in the last 5 years, and have yet to be disappointed. At this point we don't even look at the menu, we just order a dish that we feel like, and they'll make it- on the menu or not. Never been disappointed- I guarantee you'll Love it. And best of all It's reasonably priced- Not cheap, nor expensive.    [05 Mar 2005 22:06:29]

Food great HAIR BAD!!!
I was absolutely disgusted when we found HAIR in our food. AND this was on my second helping. They where short and thick and black, and there were a lot of them. Since they weren't curly I can only guess they were from the cooks head. NASTY , I will never eat there again.    [17 Mar 2005 00:11:55]

Amazing food
Really, their General Tso's chicken is simply amazing! Please ignore "the reception is so RUDE" review. Clearly someone that knows nothing of Yea's Wok. A) They don't take reservations, so calling is pointless unless you're ordering take out. B) The place is so popular that Fri. and Sat. evenings can be quite overwhelming for the staff. So if you do call during these times expect to be on hold for a bit.
The seating is tight and the ambiance is fairly sterile, but the food is beyond praise!    [20 Mar 2005 22:18:23]
