New Owners The little shop offers lots of treats! The ice cream is made fresh on-site with all the recipes of the previous owners and some new ones. Taffy is the best value on the beach. Available in bulk, you pick from loads of flavors or pre-assorted bags and boxes. Fresh homemade chocolates, caramels & toffees plus a selection of nostalgic and novelty candies. The Ice Cream is fresh The Ice Cream is fresh and tastes even better than Cold Stones. It has great flavor. Plus you buy it by the ounce so you can get as little or as much as you want. [31 Jan 2007 23:43:13]

Favorite Places, Favorite Things! I now look for excuses to drive to Ocean Shores so that I will have the chance to visit this very friendly shop! It's cheerful, has charm, great service and at last I can find the favorite candy of my childhood!
As a child in Milwaukee in the early 1950's, each Christmas my favorite aunt sent us a tin of "Fairy Food" (known to many as "Sea Foam") from Marshall Field in Chicago. It was pure heaven and impossible to find when we left the mid-west. Over the years I've found one or two places that carried "Fairy Food" but none was the way I remembered it..it was never quite right. I "discovered" Murphy's about a year ago not long after the new owners took over and much to my delight found that they have the magic touch...the perfect "Fairy Food"!
Go there yourself and discover it's like "going home"...try their candies and fabulous ice cream. Look around at all the goodies they have...eat your treat at one of their tables or take it with you. Maybe you'll find your favorite memories there just as I did. [03 Apr 2007 03:22:12]
