Amy's On The Bay It had really great food, but that's about it. We had a loud obnoxious server who was socializing more then serving. The prices are very high, and the drink prices are outrageous. [19 Aug 2006 01:46:44]

Not Worth the Money My wife and I went here, with high hopes of a new place to eat in Port Orchard, after the mediocre JJ's vacated. We were hugely disappointed. We splurged on $19 and $21 entrees, and they were both overcooked and downright bland. It's like they weren't even trying. The service was friendly but very inexperienced. [27 Aug 2006 02:10:31]

Excellent Food We went for lunch. I had a Bay Burger and my wife had the salmon special. Both were $10 and were excellent and plenty of food. Save room for dessert...the lemon souffle was delicious. The service was excellent with plenty of staff on hand to take care of everything. [17 Sep 2006 16:56:33]

Great Food, Great Service My husband and I have eaten at Amy’s on the Bay several times. The food has always been great, and they have friendly employees. [21 Sep 2006 11:49:34]

Wonderful Food, Awesome Service I have eaten here several times, and had a great experience every time. I have had burgers (yummy), smoked salmon fettuccine with lemon caper Alfredo sauce (wow), Dungeness crab cakes (mouth watering), turkey stromboli sandwich and a seafood chop salad. All of them were fantastic. Finally ... a quality restaurant in Port Orchard! Thanks, Amy's, for being here!
I have had Sunday brunch at Amy's twice, since they started it. I have had Eggs Benedict with crab cakes, meat lovers skillet scramble with roasted red potatoes, buttermilk biscuits with country gravy, and Amy's signature "cereal bowl". These people make everything from scratch, with the best quality ingredients. And it shows! Wonderful, totally wonderful! [11 Oct 2006 18:45:20]

On the Way but Not There Yet. I had halibut in a sour cream, oregano and dill sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection. As a side I had the garlic mashed potatoes which tasted great but the fried onion garnish was limp instead of crisp. The broccoli rabe was slightly undercooked but not stringy or tough. Lastly, the rolls served before the meal were somewhat stale and not piping hot.
The worst part of the meal is when I had to duck so that I wouldn't get poked in the eye by the dish the server was carrying. He then proceeded to spill it on the table but made no effort to clean it up. We had to ask for extra napkins and do it our self. While this sounds very negative, I know that Amy and Grant are trying very hard to make it the best restaurant in Port Orchard. They have some work to do but Grant is a creative chef whose dishes are worth sampling in spite of the bumps in service. [19 Oct 2006 22:13:28]

Great on a Rainy Saturday Heard from several locals that Amy's was very very good - if pricey. What sealed it was a recommendation for the clam chowder. We ended up with the chowder but also a very nice antipasto platter and nice wine. Cinnamon was our server and very attentive, plus we also ended up in excellent conversation with Karl, Amy's dad. We would go back for sure if we ever make it back to Port Orchard [05 Nov 2006 21:05:42]

We Have Eaten at Amy's on the Bay Several Times We have eaten at Amy's on the Bay several times. Each entree seems to be better than the last. We've had the crab cakes, the eggs Benedict, the chowder bread bowl, the chopped salad with blackened salmon, the filet mignon, a pasta chicken dish that was so good, I tried the same dish with shrimp, salmon and chips. The service has always been great. We also appreciate the atmosphere. After the previous restaurant, JJ's, we were hoping for better ambiance and were not disappointed. At last...we don't have to go to Seattle, Tacoma or Silverdale for fine dining! [02 Jan 2007 18:28:14]

Very Good Food I went to Amy's for the first time on a recommendation. The food is very good and the service is very good also. I had the sauteed shrimp and really enjoyed that. The menu has a variety of things to choose from and the prices are comparable to any other fine dining establishment. I really enjoyed it and will go back again soon. It's about time Kitsap County got another good restaurant in town. [21 Jan 2007 16:13:59]

Hope They Get Better My husband and I had a dinner there recently. The prices are plain silly...we aren't in downtown Seattle. Too much on the menu and no skill in the kitchen. Overcooked food, high drink prices, very bland food, actual unrecognizable food, and no theme to the food...too many things overlapping and nothing is done well. Things were not presented on the plate as they were represented in the menu. Trying to hard to be what they are not. We won't go back. [28 Feb 2007 18:48:17]
