What a nice addition for the yuppsters! This is a big bar that happens to serve food! At least that is what our experience showed us.
Our server knew everything there was to know about bar drinks, but had no idea what the soup of the day was or how anything except her favorite dish was made.
The motif is southern California surfer and is a nice place to take out of town friends. However, while the food is tasty and fresh, they do seem to use too much cilantro in several of their dishes. Of course, the great bar drinks deaden the taste buds so that is OK for most people. The prices are a little higher than I would expect from Port Orchard, but not outlandish.
Overall, a nice place for a night out ... especially for the drinking crowd! [20 May 2006 15:31:18]

Move on! I have eaten here 1 time, and will not do it again. The service was horrible! My dates dish arrived to the table 20 mins. before my dish arrived. ???? The food was good, but very overpriced. This is more of a place to drink and party, not to take a date out to eat. [11 Oct 2006 19:01:14]

Geeze I thought I was Alone If you want to have to hunt for staff for refills, to have to go to the kitchen to find someone to get napkins, and have the hostess enamored by the 2 single male customers while ignoring every other customer in the place, this is the place for you. Early afternoon, 5 employees and four customers; and couldn't get service. If I go again I will have pizza delivered to the table. [22 Nov 2006 15:50:15]

DEFINITELY NOT IMPRESSED It didn't impress me, but several ladies in our Red Hat group seemed to like it.... as we are scheduled to eat there again. Yuk !! Service was very poor. Food is average... nothing great. There are too many GREAT restaurants out there with good prices to boot !! This place is over-priced, over-rated, and UNDER-whelming. [04 Dec 2006 23:16:01]

Baja Bajo First things first, we are not a silver spoon fed kind of family, we live in Port Orchard for cripes sake. We are an average family, making average to upper middle type income. So what, but for the money, we do expect to get something in return. Recently we tried this restaurant because it boasted; "New Menu, New Management, New Prices"! We couldn't go wrong, right? Wrong! You probably could find more menu items at Burger King. The service STILL needed a makeover (usually, the patron shouldn't know more about the menu than the wait staff), the food STILL needed a chef who graduated from a school that specializes in, lets say, cooking/presentation (how do you screw up chicken nuggets), and the atmosphere STILL needs ambiance (sorry, heavy rap music is not something I would prefer to hear during a family type sitting)(no, I'm not anti-rap). We always make it an effort to patronize the locals, we enjoy that. I think with a little common sense and some serious desire to be the best in the business, this place could rock. The setting is there, the potential is there, but the heart is not. For that, we are not, no more! [16 Jan 2007 23:47:53]

Baja Outhouse We have eaten here 3 times. I do believe it is waaaaaaaaaaay over priced for what you get. The service was slow each and every time. They are "trying" to be a big city place but I am just not buying it. There is just something lacking with the food and at those prices I expect the food to be good, not just so/so.
I don't think we will be going back and spending $50 on a cold tasteless lunch with extremely slow service.
It is too bad too! The atmosphere is really cute. [14 Apr 2007 18:09:17]
