Good Food, Lazy Service
The food is what you would expect from a good Saturday family breakfast house.

The staff needs serious customer service training. The age of the staff is representative of this attitude, pre-college "why am I up at 8 am on Sat?" Well I and my family won't be back anytime soon, we now have our weekly breakfast at the New Manchester Inn.    [27 Feb 2004 14:00:30]

Horrible Horrible Horrible
My first impression was a stench of dirty water, greasy atmosphere. The service was terrible, the restaurant was filthy and the food was gross. We will not be going back to this restaurant. We are new to the area and have found that most people are genuinely friendly, not the case here.    [25 Feb 2005 19:16:19]

Small town
Food is consistently good ... not great. I really like being able to get breakfast at all hours. Their fried chicken and chips (we order hash browns) is probably the best deal for the money.

Service is almost always fair to poor and the staff seem to like to yell at one another a lot of the time making it very noisy near the kitchen. If the boss isn't there, the hostesses are quite often gabbing on the phone.

The place is usually clean, but they like to use pungent smelling cleaning stuff even when customers are still eating. The back door to the kitchen opens on the parking lot and it always filthy and usually has a "worker" or two hanging out having a smoke.    [27 Mar 2006 20:17:55]

Best pancakes I've ever had!
I don't know what it is that they put in their pancake batter, but I literally crave their pancakes! They're SOOO good!

The place overall isn't fancy, it's your average local diner where you expect to see mostly seniors and families having their weekly breakfast get togethers, but the prices are reasonable and the service isn't as bad as the other reviews suggested. At least not in my opinion.

Only thing is, don't sit next to the windows if you can help it. There's always a draft for some reason...    [20 Mar 2007 20:03:46]

meh!
Food is your average small town greasy spoon type. The service is extremely lazy. Anyone that wants a quick meal knows not to go to the pancake house. It is all you can do sometimes just to get a glass of water or refill on your coffee. The staff really does need some training. The food itself is pretty average but cheap. I do wish they would do their veggies better though. On the dinners the frozen veggies taste like they have been on the steam table for 10 hours every single time. This is the favorite midnight stop for all the party bar hounds so beware of this if you want to go out for a late night breakfast. It can get quite "entertaining" after 2 in the morning.    [14 Apr 2007 18:42:13]

What ?
I have eaten at this restaurant many times
and find the staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is by far the best overall eatery in Port Orchard and local meeting place for professional and retired customers. If you haven't given it a try, do so and make your own decision.    [30 Dec 2007 16:28:41]
