El Toreador serves a combination of traditional American/Mexican food as well as authentic dishes. There are 15-20 booths and tables and a bar in the rear of the restaurant.The atmosphere is pretty low key, prices for most dishes are in the $8-10 range.

The best margaritas in the northwest (try the bartender's margarita).

Food can be outstanding or average, depending on what you order--the mole is wonderful, as are the tacos, tamales, and almost all of the enchiladas. The burritos are a little bland.    [14 Mar 2003 19:09:10]

El Toreador is a great place. It has fun decor, mostly a great waiting staff, and great food for a bargain. However, the wait to get in for parties of 3+ can be long. Overall, a very great place.    [29 Nov 2003 19:44:57]
