Not bad for Renton
I went to McGowan's for the first time a few weeks ago. I'd decided to wander downtown Renton until I found a place I hadn't been, and this is where I ended up. I've been there once since then.

The soup was salty but tasty. The salmon filet sandwich was acceptable but not fabulous. The french dip was good but not excellent. When I asked for horseradish (which is normally not part of the dish) they offered me my choice of two different kinds.

I'd say this place is not bad for Renton.

Also, hardly anyone was dining there during lunch time the two times I went.
