I had dinner here with a few friends. It was a mixed experience. The food was good, but it wasn't what we had ordered; the service was pretty patchy in general. They were very apologetic, though, and corrected the problem. I gather they were unexpectedly short a worker today, and they're also a pretty new restaurant.

We had a couple of the 'tibs' meat dishes and a vegetable dish (lentils, mostly), all served in the usual way on big pieces of injera. They were all pretty good, and pretty large; the four of us couldn't finish it all off, though we tried. A single entree would be enough for two people. Our bill came to a little over $30.

Despite the confusion, we had a good time and a good meal. I think if they get their feet under them, Yeshi could make a good addition to the U district's cheap ethnic eats.    [09 Oct 2006 01:49:38]
