Non-powered entry door. Alongside the two steps down inside the entry is a wheelchair ramp, but it's open on one side (no guard rail).

Cafe Maree's space is an odd juxtaposition of warehouse and warmth. The huge high ceiling, exposed wire conduits, and concrete walls are offset by bright, primary-colored paint and contemporary furnishings. Not a lot of tables, which adds to the cavernous feeling. But it's not crowded at all.

The espresso is skillfully made. My drink of choice is a nonfat, decaf mocha, and Maree's did not disappoint, balancing the chocolate and coffee well.

The baked goods seem to be delivered to the cafe, as is typical around here. I liked the coffee cake--not too dry, with an unexpected lemon flavor to it.

Wireless Internet access is available and is free! This is a welcome new trend among Seattle cafes.

Fabulous Latte
I happened to stop by Cafe Maree while I was wandering the back streets around Green Lake.

This Place only uses 100% organic, fair-traded, shade-grown coffee beans and the artistry of the espresso drinks was amazing. I loved my latte with a beautiful form design.

Since then, Cafe Maree became my morning routine.
