How does a place screw up English pub fare?
Ate here last weekend (12/14/2003) with in-laws, wife and two kids under 8. Quick seating was the highlight of our visit, after that things went downhill. Service was SLOW. Entrees arrived within two minutes of our salads. One kid had grilled cheese sandwich, but they left out the grilled part. My lamb curry was a bland lamb stew as it lacked anything resembling curry. My other son's bangers and mash looked like a bad meal from my boot camp days. The in-laws steak and mushroom pies were bland at best. Server forgot our coffee. A service charge was included on the bill, though we saw nothing in the menu that it would automatically be incurred. It's hard to fathom that a place can screw up BRITISH PUB FARE this badly!    [19 Dec 2003 17:43:43]
