The worst Service in the History of the world Ezell's has the worst counter service I have ever seen. And when I call the "manager" because of the rudeness of an employee,I was told that he would have to compare my story with that of the employee before taking action. Can you believe it and on top of that the chicken taste just as bad a Albertson's or Fred Meyer's in fact I think Albertson's chicken is 100% better than Ezell's. Who needs bad fried chicken, irresponsible management and poor customer services? If this is what you are looking for visit Ezell's. If you're not Oprah you get bad service and greasy chicken. It's all about the chicken. Ezell's is clean, but it's a small place: basically a big kitchen and a counter. You won't be sitting down to eat here, unless it's in your car in the parking lot. The staff is friendly but loud. They might be a little hard to deal with if you're used to a more quiet suburban establishment.
I don't mind, though, because this is the best fried chicken I have ever had. The skin is crisp without being dry and crunchy, the spices are excellent (you can choose between a regular or spicy skin), and even the sides are great. My girlfriend likes the coleslaw, even though she doesn't care for slaw. You want dessert? They have dessert. Sweet potato pie or peach cobbler, they are both tasty. This is also the only place I've ever seen the "Faygo" beverage for sale. Doesn't mean anything to me, but it was a big deal to the folks in front of me in line.
It's cash-only, so don't hold up the line trying to use a check or credit card. If you forget to bring cash, there is a fee-charging ATM at the place. [11 Jan 2004 02:43:28]
