Not recommended My wife and I had lunch there on Monday, 19 Feb 07. We will never go back; and we will certainly never recommend it to anyone! We shared 3 items: Salmon quesadillas, fish and chips, and clam chowder.
1. The Salmon quesadillas: the salmon was the worst I have ever had -- it tasted as if it had been caught as one of those half-dead salmon after spawning. It was so bad that neither of us could finish it. 2. The "Famous" fish and chips: both the fish and the fries were ok, but certainly not worth the moniker "famous" -- we have had a lot better fish and chips just a couple of blocks away, at at least 3 different restaurants on the waterfront. 3. The clam chowder was terrible: watery and tasteless. Again, neither of us could finish it! It was an embarrassment to a seafood town like Seattle. 4. We paid for 2 diet cokes with our meal, but by the time we got to the soda machine the diet coke syrup was gone. I stood there for 10 minutes, trying to get one of the staff to replace the diet coke syrup. Finally, after being totally ignored by 2 different staff, a third staff checked the syrup box, confirmed that it was empty, unhooked the syrup hose, dropped it on the filthy floor, and went off to get a new box of syrup. He came back several minutes later saying "There is no more diet coke syrup". And that was it! For the next 1/2 hour or so, the connector hose stayed on the dirty floor, with all the staff just walking on it and/or kicking it around. [21 Feb 2007 19:16:11]

Good view, convenient location, good grub We (party of 6) planned on showing up for breakfast but got to Lowell's late (11am) so had to pick lunch food instead.
Our orders were 3 burgers, a Reuben, and a couple of crab cake sandwiches. Everybody ate all of their meal pretty much. Tillamook cheddar burger was pretty good, on a toasted bun with cheese and a good bit of bacon. The fries were perfect, not greasy at all and very crisp. I guess they have fixed the diet soda problem from the other review, as mine was just fine.
All in all I would recommend Lowells for a good place to grab lunch, although I doubt I would shell out 20+ bucks a person come dinnertime. [07 Jun 2007 20:57:49]
