Ain't No Friend of Mine New to Seattle this fall, I was looking for a warm cafe to get weekend breakfast and coffee. Using the traditional omelette as the litmus test, I ventured out around my neighborhood. My Friend's Place failed in a spectacular fashion. In spite of being hungry and excited to eat, I couldn't finish my meal because the sausage was so nasty. It was the macerated, wet and barely-sticking-together texture along with the overdone Italian seasonings that churned my stomach. My impression was that I was eating meat from a previous decade. Likewise, the toast was blackened and dry. To make matters worse, the large window in front made the restaurant quite cold, and it was not clear to me if my Seattle's Best Coffee came with any refills. I left in a hurry, and will not be going back. [04 Jan 2004 00:13:48]

Cozy cafe near Green Lake I stop here when I want to walk around Green Lake. Recently had a delicious croissant with ham and egg. It was made fresh, and the croissant was deliciously flaky and light. They also have a variety of pastries I like such as the peach coffee cake, large enough for two.
This cafe is know to use olive oil and organic ingredients. There are many healthy options to choose from.
Another treat is that there are magazines available to peruse, mostly Vogue, W, etc. [19 Feb 2007 12:18:02]
