Excellent sushi and seasonal cuisine Chef Ken Yamamoto knows his way around a fish market, and around a kitchen. His small restaurant consistently serves up the best sushi in seafood savvy Seattle. Be sure to check out the specials board for seasonal dishes.

Small restaurant, big chef, great seasonal food Every neighborhood should have a restaurant like Shiki - a small place with remarkably good food. In this case, the neighborhood is lower Queen Anne, and the food is seasonal Japanese. In fish fanatic Seattle, it is sometimes hard to choose a standout seafood cuisine, but Chef Ken Yamamoto's scrupulously fresh sushi has captured a loyal following for years. Regulars look forward to Shiki’s seasonal kitchen offerings as well. Ken-san in one of a very few chefs in the United States licensed to serve the notorious Fugu (puffer fish), available in the winter. [17 Dec 2003 01:08:01]
