Gates and Travolta dined there The menu is very large, interesting, and varied. The waiter was helpful on assisting newcomers make a good selection. The service was slow enough to indicate that the dishes were specially prepared. The decor is not fancy, but nice enough.
Two of us had seaweed soup (enough for about 6 big bowls) and two large chicken dishes, served on large plates that could then be shared. A good sized pot of tea was included. Food quantity was more than enough to really fill up, and also fill one take home box, all for $22, plus tip, today, a Saturday.
Meter parking in the area costs $1/hour, and they accepted plastic payment.
Although I haven't been in San Francisco's Chinatown for decades, it seems to me that Seattle's International District has more Asian flavor, very authentically exotic, and a more recent looking immigrant population.
The small men's rest room needs a bigger exhaust fan, and I can't visualise wheelchair bound people easily using it. [30 Nov 2003 01:35:03]
