Best inexpensive meal in Seattle - veggie too!
Than Brothers serves Pho', a Vietnamese noodle soup that is traditionally made with beef. Here, they also make chicken and veggie (vegan with tofu) versions. They also have a few nice teas (try to Lotus Tea) and very good *strong* coffee (called Cafe Sua) which is brewed at your table. A tasty creampuff dessert comes free with your soup. Your soup also comes with a generous plate full of red basil, bean sprouts, and super-hot peppers which you can add to customize the flavor of your soup as you see fit.

The real highlight here is the prices, though, which are around $4-7 depending on the size. A "small" bowl of Pho' is a complete meal -- or, get a "medium" if you skipped breakfast -- or, get a "large" if you skipped breakfast AND lunch and are hungry enough to eat all three meals at once. There's also an "Extra Large," which I suppose would be nice if you haven't eaten in a week.

The service is extremely prompt. The longest I have ever waited from the time I walked in the door to the time I was served was about three or four minutes. If they're not busy you can walk in the door and have your soup at your table within a minute or two.
