Not bad neighborhood sushi and teriyaki
I always enjoy the meals at Aoyama, since they're always eaten at a most hospitable location: my home. Since moving to Shoreline, my husband and I have eaten Aoyama's take-out sushi and teriyaki dozens of times, and we keep going back for more. The teriyaki is unremarkable but quite filling (portions are always good), and the sushi always tastes fresh. The tempura is typical of similar restaurants. We've never had a bad meal there, and can recommend it to folks in the area who like to order out such food. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they knew us by name after a few visits.    [26 Aug 2001 19:59:42]

what a shame
The food at Aoyama is excellent, and my family & I started to become regulars... until we noticed that they consistently charged us more for our meal than the price that was listed on the menu.

After the 3rd such incident, I asked the waitress about it politely. She became extremely angry & defensive. This did not keep her from charging me $7 more than the menu price, and trying to add on a 20% gratuity above & beyond the tip I added on my credit card receipt.

Again, the food is excellent ~ but we will never go back there.    [05 Feb 2005 22:23:00]
