Great Place! If you are looking for sushi, then this is the place to go. I am a huge fan of Japanese food. I often go out of my way to travel to Seattle to find the best Japanese restaurants. However, due to rising ferry and gas prices, I like to eat locally now. I used to frequent Hakata, but their POOR service turned me off. I tried Origami Sushi when they first came out, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The menu is a variety of Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, stir-fry, vegetarian, etc. They have over 40 different kinds of maki, nigiri sushi, as well as sushi specials, and you can even request your own fillings from the sushi chef. They also have lots of different stir-fried dishes, phad thai, seaweed salad, poke salad, yam fries, pho, HUGE portions of tempura ice cream, fried rice, curry fried rice, curry dishes, kalbi, bubble tea, vietnamese iced/hot coffee, etc. If this is your first visit to Origami, expect to spend a good 5-10 minutes browsing the menu! That is how big the menu is! The service is EXCELLENT. It's not like a lot of the other Japanese restaurants (Hakata for example). The waitresses are prompt, they come back 2 or more times to see how you are liking the food, prompt refills, etc. Superb service. They greet you at the door, and say good-bye to you before you leave. The place is small, but very clean. Decor is very simple. They also serve alcohol--beer, wine, sake, etc. Prices are reasonable and affordable. They accept credit card, debit, and cash. They also do take out. So if you are tired of frequenting some of the local places in Kitsap county, try Origami! You will not be disappointed! [18 Jun 2006 04:22:05]

Love Origami This is the first successful restaurant in this location and there is a good reason for it. The sushi is awesome and inexpensive. It runs a very close second to Hakata...the only thing is they don't slice their fish as thin (which we like better) as Hakata...service is very friendly though a little slow when they are busy...but that's the way it is in all of the sushi restaurants in town and we have been to them all. Well worth the wait though! The owner is very nice and very accommodating. You'll never leave this place feeling hungry...The spicy chicken wings are to die for. [15 Sep 2006 12:14:04]

My wife's # 1 choice for ethnic In Silverdale, Origami combines great service and great food. Their variety overwhelms this novice. When my choosy wife loves a place it has to be a winner! [29 Jan 2007 21:25:30]

You've Got to Try This Place! I am a sushi newbie but I love the dragon, caterpillar and spider rolls at Origami. My family and I have enjoyed other dishes on the menu as well. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. I haven't been to the 'other' sushi restaurant in Silverdale in years and won't go back anytime soon due to reviews complaining of rude service which isn't helpful when you want to try new things. Origami's servers are knowledgeable and make honest recommendations which I really appreciate. [20 Apr 2007 23:17:41]
