What a treat!! Yesterday was the fourth time I have visited the Maltby Cafe. Every time I have been there has been a true treat. The food is always excellent and the atmosphere makes the drive a very worth while experience. Whenever I meet someone who asks advice on where to eat in the area I get so excited to recommend the Malty Cafe. I am a customer for life!! [16 Oct 2001 16:02:22]

Best Oatmeal Ever You can usually tell the quality of a restaurant by its most basic foods. If it can do a basic food good, you can rest assured that the menu is of high quality from top to bottom. When I first went to the Maltby Cafe, I always indulged in the wonderful egg dishes. On one cold winter morning, I just felt like a bowl of oatmeal and expected the standard oatmeal fair. To my surprise, this was the creamiest, most satisfying bowl of oatmeal I ever had. It had raisins and nuts, and was topped with Marion berries. This dish is now my standard and during a recent visit, they revealed their secret to superb oatmeal. I have never had a non-breakfast meal here, but can only imagine that they are equally as excellent. The service is probably the best anywhere in the Northwest as the ladies who run this place really have a passion for feeding their customer [06 Feb 2002 16:39:55]

Friendly to Truckers Last Thursday I was waiting to get a load and I waited in front of the Maltby Cafe. I had the biscuits and gravy two eggs and sausage. Great then I was back in twice for coffee (the best ever from a cafe!!) the owner had 65 feet of truck blocking the front of her cafe for about 6 1/2 hours and never said a word. Thanks and if I ever get within 30 mile of there I will go out of my way to eat again!! Thank You, Nick Bradley [14 Apr 2002 16:07:10]

Best Cafe in Seattle I've eaten here for breakfast and lunch and it is most certainly my favorite cafe in all of Seattle. The portions are huge, the food is way past scrumptious and the staff is all wonderful. I recommend it to everyone who visits Washington. [18 Oct 2002 15:23:32]

Incredable Cinnamon Rolls!! YUMMY!!! That sums it up in one word. If you currently have a favorite place to eat this will beat it for sure, I promise!! The setting is very warm and the people are all so friendly, they make you feel like your at home. I hope everyone who reads this tries it out to so they can see just how truly delicious the Maltby cafe is. [08 Nov 2002 17:16:57]

From a Maltby Local I've lived in Maltby for the past 15 years and have learned many things with the time I have passed in the area. One is that the Maltby Cafe is always busy so make sure that you get there early because the wait can become endless. If you are hungry the food at the Maltby cafe is always worth the wait. I cannot recommend it highly enough The Maltby Cafe has become a staple in my life on Sunday mornings. The staff is fantastic, the food incredibly good (if somewhat daunting in quantity), the prices are reasonable and the charm of the ladies running the place could not be more genuine. My only regret is that they do not do a dinner menu and stay open! [18 Jan 2003 14:24:40]

Louisiana Visitor Loves This Place! When I travel from Southern Louisiana to meet with my friends in Maltby, I always have to have my biscuits and gravy. This is my stop and I love it. [06 Mar 2003 18:54:15]

Eggs Benedict to die for!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!!!!! The most amazing Eggs Benedict on the planet. I have long searched for such a place, finding only mediocrity. Now that I live on Maltby Road, every Saturday is heaven!!!! Steer clear of the meat products though....not on the same level as the rest eggs and griddle stuff. Go to Brown Bag cafe in Totem Lake for biscuits and gravy or anything country fried. Otherwise....We are lucky to live so close [14 Apr 2003 13:24:15]

Breakfast Gurus I went to Maltby's Cafe for the first time this morning...It is definitely worth the drive and the wait. They have the best people and their food will surely fill your soul. I think that I am eventually going to be a Maltby regular. [11 Aug 2003 00:49:04]
