You have to see this at least once
You have to go here at least once if only for the atmosphere. It turns out that the food is really great too, which is surprising in such a theme-park type restaurant.

There are enormous aquariums filled with tropical fish, mechanical jungle animals, a starry night sky, interesting statuary and paintings, trees, and mock thunder and lightning storms. It actually rains inside the restaurant, although in a controlled way, so you won't get wet.

They have a really great stir fry which I can't remember the name of at the moment, and also some good salmon baked on a cedar plank    [16 Jan 2002 19:00:37]

Worth a Trip!
This is my favorite restaurant, its about 65 miles from where I live but I drive there quite often just to eat at the Rainforest Cafe.
Mock thunder and lightening storms that arose the apes that are surrounding half of the dining area. Rain trickles and fish galore. Huge fish tanks through out the restaurant, and one gigantic archway thats a fish tank leading into the dining area.
Decently priced, great food!!! They have a "Blue Mountain Chicken Sandwich" which is wonderful and mouthwatering with roasted red pepper on it. They also have a lighter "Rumble in the Jungle" turkey wrap that is excellent. Their french fries are great, and the ketchup bottles are always full. Also the bruchetta appetizer is delicious. Finally they are famous for their "Volcano" desert with fudge, brownies, ice cream and sparks flying like a real volcano, but the best desert, and the absolute capstone for Rainforest Cafe for me is the "Bannan Fosters" fresh bananas, vanilla ice cream wrapped up in light crepes, drenched in some chocolate, carmel and banana liquor, also with a bit of whip cream. It is the motivation for driving all that way, sometimes twice a week!
The setting is great fun for everyone, reading the menu is entertainment in and of itself, but it does NOT stop there! You feel very much like you really are in a jungle, even the bathrooms follow the theme. The wait staff all cheer "Volcano" as every one is brought out to the tables, and they wear jungle attire, khakis like the Croc Hunter or something.
The service varies a bit, best luck seems to be on weekdays or in the evening during the work week. Its never terrible, and they are all very pleasant- but some are better than others!
Best food, great fun, decently priced, and a gift shop that is an experience on its own.

For kids and adults! Its perfect
Perfect place for families to get together as well as just adult groupings. If you are looking for a treat here it is. Tons of real animals and water fountains to sit by if you please. Throughout the time you stay there, there will be some surprises that will happen.Course though they don't just have food they have a bar with outrageous bar stools. That's not all though they as well have a gift shop for the whole family whether you're old or young. Tons of gizmos and gadgets. Whenever you get the chance I really recommend this restaurant!    [20 Oct 2005 18:49:28]

Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This place is the best! If you think the place where you eat is great... you're wrong. this place makes it look like your eating in a jungle. The food is great and, while you eat, you can see fish swim in their tanks. I don't mean those little tiny fish that are in a bowl at your house. I mean cool, colorful fish. You've got to go to Rainforest Cafe. If you don't, you're missing out on a lot of fun    [06 Feb 2008 17:59:42]

Uniquely different
Rainforest Cafe is so cool, as a child I would eat here. There are so many things to look at and each time I went, I would see something I hadn't seen before. The thunder and lightening is cool and all the tropical fish and the fake monkeys ... great place to take kids. Tell them about birthdays, get your own desert and a cool glass.    [06 May 2008 10:12:39]
