Awful service Awful service. We never officially had a server, just had to keep flagging down various servers and bus-people that walked by. Took 2.5 hours for a meal that ended by us walking around the restaurant trying to find someone to give us our check and let us pay. The decor and entree were good, but the dessert was very poor. It took 25 minutes to come out and was still frozen. After all that the staff was unapologetic. I am not a picky person and I have never written a restaurant review, but had such a bad experience here that I had to warn others. Definitely would not go back. [20 Jun 2007 00:12:35]

Very disappointed This is a very charming place, but the food and service definitely did not meet our expectations. We asked to be seated outside because it was such a beautiful evening & the server who was seating people took us to one of the three patio tables, which was pretty much the full extent of the service for the evening. This was apparently the Bermuda Triangle Table, because one of the other tables was getting fairly attentive service & the other got at least intermittent service. When a server eventually discovered us, we ordered immediately since we'd had about 20 minutes to peruse the menu. It took forever to get bread & water. It took even longer to get our salads. Within seconds we realized they were not what we ordered, but the server had again vanished. We waited several minutes to see if she would reappear so we could get what we had wanted, but finally gave up and ate what we had because we were starving. We ordered the Dungeness Crab Cakes entree, which took another 20-25 minutes to show up. The sauteed vegetables were delicious, but the Crab Cakes were almost inedible, extremely dry & requiring a knife to cut - very little crab, mostly dried filling. The next time we saw "our" server, she was bringing us our check! She never checked back with us to see how the meal was, did we need anything else, etc. She let us know she gave us a 25% discount because she felt like we didn't get good service! And once again vanished, never to be seen again. We wanted dessert, but she didn't offer a menu or even ask if we were interested. When we finally managed to snag another server who wandered by, we told her we wanted dessert but "our" server had neglected to offer it. Server #2 eventually reappeared with a dessert menu, we ordered when she finally showed up again. This of course meant that the check had to be redone, but we figured we had plenty of time for that to happen while we waited for dessert. It took about 20 minutes for dessert to appear & it was also inedible - you shouldn't need a fork AND a knife to eat chocolate cake. It looked and tasted like something they dredged out of the back of the fridge. No one ever brought the check back - we finally gave up & went inside to see if we could find either server. This was an awful experience. Now, granted, the whole dessert thing was our mistake - we really should have been smart enough to know it couldn't possibly go well. But this whole ordeal took almost 2 1/2 hours. We went here on the recommendation of several people in the area. But it was not a happy experience. Prices were nearly as high as the Alderbrook Resort and the food and service certainly did not compare. Would not recommend this place or go there again. [24 Jun 2007 20:52:27]

WONDERFUL I was reading the reviews above and felt the need to share my experiences that I have had and in my opinion one of the most enchanting places to eat. I have visited the Robin Hood Restaurant on many occasions, and each time has been as wonderful as the time before. I suggest you ask about the singing waitress she has the most amazing voice. I would recommend the Lemon Drop Prawns as an appetizer and for the main course I always go with the Steak Oscar, it is the best of both land and sea. We always save room for dessert they change often so I don't have one to recommend. I feel sorry for the people that wrote the reviews before me I would tell anyone to try the Robin Hood for themselves you won't regret it! [12 Jul 2007 18:50:14]
