Description
Handcrafted foods prepared in an impressive exhibition kitchen. The menu could be described as "anti-nouveau" or "Gregarious American" w/ large portions being emphasized at dinner. From candied pecans, 8 hour stocks, scratch baked desserts, and house butchered meats, poultry, and fresh seafood flown in from Seattle.
This is not a restaurant brought about by a restaurateur. This is a chef's dream kitchen surrounded by turn of the century tin ceiling, original hexagon tile floor, fused w/ soft lighting, ceiling fans, rustic redwood old-growth beams, walnut high dining tables, silver and linen. Seating is 48 of which 25% has been dedicated to wheelchair access.
This place is intentionally raucous. It is possible to have 30 "private conversations" in Smokeblossom while the place is packed.
The menu selections start @ $9 for a brimming Caesar Salad and escalate to $30 for an entire lamb loin (from an 8 bone rack). The locally charged wine list is red-heavy during the colder months, but they integrate new wines every 3-4 months. All wines are available by the glass and the 4 micro beers they have on tap come in a sky scraping 19 oz. pilsner glass (big country-big beers!)

Shot down without a chance I have had 2 experiences at Smokeblossom. The first was my father and I. We were greeted quickly, served promptly and I enjoyed my meal greatly.
I came in for a second time last night. I entered with 7 people all in their early twenties. We were quickly judged by our age and appearance (tattoos and piercings) and deemed 'unsuitable'. Our waitress whispered to her colleagues, made some excuse and sent us on our way. I have never felt so mistreated. We went somewhere else and dropped an easy 800 dollars. I will never return and wish they knew that appearance does not always equate to money. [16 Jun 2007 21:43:55]

So Un-Wenatchee My wife and I went to SB for our 1st wedding anniversary dinner. The owner made sure we got a table quickly and waived the corkage fee for a special bottle I brought in. Normally their is a corkage fee for non local wine.
My wife and I have relocated from San Diego and have yet to find a decent restaurant in the Wenatchee Valley that compares to any good establishment in SD. Smokeblossom was amazing.
We shared a Cesar salad which had amazing dressing as well as clam chowder that was unlike any other in a long time.
We had a smoked NY steak with Gorgonzola cheese over the top of it. It was amazing!!! The side was Yukon mashed potatoes that were very good as well.
To end the meal, we shared a cream brulee which was just like everything else being wonderful.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and prompt about service.
The meal reminded us of meals at the Prado at Balboa Park in San Diego.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. [11 Feb 2009 23:51:55]

excellent restaurant!! We've been to this restaurant a couple of times, coming from as far as Cle Elum a couple of times, and it never fails to deliver the goods. Generous servings, excellent appetizers and entrees, and deserts that thoroughly take the cake (no pun intended). The best bread pudding I have ever had, not too sweet, but good to the last drop.
Friendly wait staff and warm atmosphere make it a must as well! [08 Mar 2009 19:29:56]

Contempory American food with big city taste and small town friendliness Great tastes, dynamic plating, and fun atmosphere. I have eaten all over the country and Smokeblossom compares favorably with the best in San Francisco, Seattle, San Antonio, Chicago or New York. The best way to describe Smokeblossom is unpretentious in ambiance, but completely sophisticated in their approach to food. This is a restaurant and menu designed by a chef to please himself and his customers first. Try everything, but don't miss the clams in broth, bread pudding, and the lamb. [18 Jun 2009 05:25:42]
