The best! I cannot believe this place is in Milwaukee. The restaurant would stand out in LA or New York- no lie! It is a must try for those who travel into Milwaukee. [18 Aug 2006 18:01:31]

Outstanding I visit Milwaukee in from Chicago now for four years and have never truly been impressed until I dined at Carnevor. Everything from the food and service were excellent. The steak was among the best I have ever had in any city. The service was top notch and the owner was a very nice guy! So far after several visits I loved everything but one appetizer (baked tart). It just seemed a little bland. [28 Aug 2006 11:11:17]

Don't Waste Your Money My husband and I chose Carnevor because it looked to be a great spot to enjoy a nice meal for a resonable price. The actual menu that we saw online listed prices significantly less than the actual prices in the restaurant. The service was fine, nothing to rave about. The food was ok; however, paying $11 for a dish of mashed potatos is a bit absurd. Nothing and I mean Nothing comes with your "main dish" except for the single item, not even a bit of parsley for decoration. The waiter (Stan) rambled on for a half hour describing the "specials" which was annoying. For the price we paid, we had hoped for a lot more. [19 Nov 2006 19:03:40]

BEST steak EVER ! ! ! We have been there 3x. Each time reinforcing the great dining experience we had before. Service always the top, Jason was the best waiter ever. Prices were as advertised. Truffle potates are more than mashed, as a previous reviewer stated. The Steaks were the best. Especially the Kobe NY Strip. My wife loved her South African Lobster Tail. the Rib eye is to die for. We were never disappointed in anything we ordered. Steaks arrived prepared as ordered. Drinks were priced very resaonable. [04 Apr 2007 22:50:23]
