Best taste, worst restaurant premises
To enter the restaurant, you climb over the (drunk) people at the bar. Gosse's was once a great place for carry-out food, when they were at the Northgate Shopping Centre.

Although the place is usually packed; this restaurant/tavern is in a poor location, the building is too small, nondrinkers must enter bar to get to food, no carryout window/drive thru.    [24 Aug 2003 16:20:26]

Outstanding!
Although we don't get "back home" near often enough, Gosse's at the Northwestern House is one place we NEVER miss. The food is nothing short of outstanding, the ambiance, not far behind. The service here is another strong point, the servers are friendly, knowledgeable about their product(s) and are quick to please. The bar is a beautiful, even for non-drinkers, unlike others, it is bright, with deep wood tones. This is a Mom & Pop spot not to be missed. Best Steak Sandwich In Wisconsin
I've had many steak sandwiches, but Gosse's is the best. It is perfection, from the hardroll to the meat, nothing more can be said. It is simply the best. As for atmosphere the bar is immaculate.
